WhatCulture

I joined WhatCulture in 2015, being initially hired as a video editor before quickly transitioning into an on-screen personality for the WhatCulture Wrestling YouTube channel.

Alongside Adam Blampied, I co-presented the hugely successful Adam vs. Adam series, as well as lending my voice to the channel’s weekly wrestling podcast. I also continued to devise, produce and edit content for the channel.

I somehow even got picked to play the evil authority figure for the company’s wrestling promotion, WCPW. Here, I got to work alongside some of the biggest names in pro-wrestling history such as Bret Hart, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, and Prince Ameen.

I even got to front my own actual wrestling stable, Pacitti Club. It was a genuine blast.

Fronted by a core group of incredibly talented presenters, WhatCulture Wrestling grew into one of the biggest wrestling channels on YouTube, watched by over 2.5 million people every week.

STATS

  • The channel grew to over 1 million subscribers between its launch and my departure in September 2017.
  • The brand’s popularity spawned a wrestling promotion, monthly magazine, and a highly enjoyable board game.
  • Over one thousand Pacitti Club T-Shirts sold, 99% of which are now in landfills and charity shops.
