What is Cobblemon?
Cobblemon is a Minecraft mod that brings Pokémon-inspired gameplay into Minecraft. Players can catch, train, battle, and evolve creatures while exploring the Minecraft world.
Where can I find different Pokémon?
Different Pokémon spawn in different biomes, at different times of day, weather conditions, elevations, and environments. Exploring a variety of locations is the best way to complete your Pokédex.
Where do I first spawn on the map?
All new players will spawn in Torquay, which is located at X=2488, Z=-2161. Make sure to fully explore Torquay, speak to Mark Jenkins and Michael Barrymore outside of the department, and loot as many chests as you can find! Feel free to take as much as you like from any chest you find as items spawn on a per-player basis.
How do I claim my starter Pokémon?
When you spawn in Torquay, hit the C key to choose your first Pokémon. You will also be given your Pokédex, some Poké balls and a map to the first gym leader!
How do I catch Pokémon?
Craft or loot Poké balls, weaken a wild Pokémon in battle if needed, then throw a Poké Ball at it. Different Poké balls have different catch rates, and stronger Pokémon are generally harder to catch.
How do I craft Poké Balls?
To craft Poké Balls, you will need to find or grow Apricorns. Crafting most Poké Balls requires four Apricorns, combined with an Ingot in a crafting table. For example, Red Apricorns are used to craft standard Poké balls, while White Apricorns make Premier Balls. Some advanced or specialty Poké balls use combinations of different Apricorn colours or additional materials.
How do I claim my plot of land?
All new players are given one plot of land, which allows you to claim an area on the map to do whatever you want with! Other players won’t be able to destroy anything in this area or steal your items. To claim your plot of land, grab a golden hoe from Mark Jenkins outside of the department store in Torquay. After travelling to your desired plot, hold the golden hoe and right click two opposing diagonal corners to claim your land.
Where is the best place to claim my plot of land?
You can claim anywhere on the map apart from protected structures and pre-built towns. There is also a small town called Blackpool being built around the X=0, Z=0 coordinates which you may like to set up close to.
How do I expand my plot of land?
Face the direction you want to expand your land and type /flan expand 1 then hit return to expand your land claim by one block. You can change the 1 to increase your claim by that many blocks, eg. /flan expand 5 will expand your land claim by 5 blocks in the direction that you are facing.
I’ve run out of land claim. How do I get more?
To prevent large plots of land being claimed by an influx of new players who may not stick around, every player starts with x blocks of available land claim. You will receive 12 more blocks for every hour of playtime.
Can I claim multiple plots of land?
At the moment, we’re limiting claims to one per person while we monitor land availability. This will likely increase soon.
Is there a map available to view land claims?
Yes! You can view land claims as well as a full interactive map here.
How do I ride a Pokémon?
Some Pokémon are able to transport players via land, air, and/or sea. When a Pokémon is it of its ball, crouch next to it, right click and select ride on. A full list of rideable Pokémon is available here.
How do I fast travel?
You can fast travel between locations using waystones. Waystones are craftable and can be placed in any location that isn’t protected. You can also discover waystones in various towns which you will discover as you progress. You can get some free waystones from Mark Jenkins, who wanders aimlessly outside the department store in Torquay.
I found a legendary tower! Why isn’t there anything inside?
We’re in the process of adding chests to legendary towers as they are discovered. If you find a tower without a chest in it, please post the coordinates to #minecraft-issues on Discord and it will be added as soon as possible.
I’m stuck somewhere and I can’t move! How do I get out?
Type /flan trapped and hit return to be teleported to a nearby safe space. If you’re stuck in a structure, use /structuralsafety escape
What are the odds of finding a shiny Pokémon and how do I know when I’ve found one?
The odds of discovering a shiny Pokémon are currently 8192 to 1. You should hear a noise and see a sparkle on your mini-map when in the vicinity of a shiny.

How do I set up voice chat?
Press the back button on your mouse or the full stop key on your keyboard to set up voice chat.
How to I change my controls?
If you’re using keyboard and mouse, press Esc > Options > Controls > Key Binds. Controller support is also available for those who prefer. To change controller settings, select the controller icon to the right of Controls.
I get a warning message about RAM usage during installation. What do I do?
You should be safe to ignore this warning. If you find your PC struggling to run the game, see the question below.
My computer is struggling to run Cobblemon. What can I do?
Press the ‘K’ key on your keyboard to disable shaders. This will allow Cobblemon to run on older systems.
Can I play on console?
Unfortunately not. Cobblemon only works on the java version of Minecraft.
As a small thank you for their support, Patreon Producers who wish to play will be gifted one Shiny Card every month whilst Executive Producers two Shiny Cards every month. Shiny Cards allow players to upgrade any Pokémon in your party to a shiny.
To claim your gift, drop Adam a message on Patreon or Discord with your in-game name. Within 48 hours, you’ll be able to claim your gift from Michael Barrymore, who resides just outside the Department Store in Torquay.
Shiny Cards are not craftable but will be available to win during community events on the server!
